After two years of experiments and experiences with online event forms, forced by the pandemic, the largest procurement conference in this part of Europe returns with an entirely stationary edition. On October 18 and 19, representatives of European Procurement will meet at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warsaw.

The main issues around which this year’s agenda is created are the challenges of the modern world and economy that the purchasing function must face on its way to generating value and ensuring the stability of its company’s operations.

New Procurement: Challenges for Procurement Leaders

The theme of the conference fits perfectly into the current post-covid sentiment on the markets. High uncertainty is fueled by further turmoil, and anomalies in the commodity markets and rising prices of both services and products keep many buyers awake.

For this reason, the organizers divided the agenda into three main streams: Risk Management in VUCA World, Digital Transformation, ESG – Green Procurement. The program will, of course, include well-known and appreciated by the Participants – networking activities, case studies, lectures, special guests or thematic tables, i.e. moderated discussions in a small group of other experts and practitioners, as well as the 2021 Procurement Leader awards gala of the Polish Association of Logistics Managers and Procurement(PSML).

Back to the roots?

The absolute highlights of the program are the two European procurement icons. Known from the first edition of the PROCON / POLZAK 2014 conference – prof. Arjan van Weele and prof. dr Frank Rozemeijer – one of the best-rated speakers at last year’s conference.

This year, in a speech divided into two days – “Unlocking Procurement’s Value: How to overcome Key Dilemma’s in today’s world“, experts will not only say why Procurement should contribute to the achievement of the company’s strategic goals, but also on appropriate examples, show what methods, approaches and tools to use in practice to overcome all problems standing in the way of unlocking the value of purchases.

The chance to meet and listen to these two procurement personalities should not be missed by any CPO!

In addition to the opening speech of both days – experts will promote the 8th edition of their book – Procurement and Supply Chain Management, which has been considered the primary source of purchasing knowledge for years. On the occasion of the updated edition, the organizers of the event – OptiBuy and PSML – will have a surprise for all Participants.

Registration for the event is ongoing. See you on October 18 and 19 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warsaw.
